Hi, I’m Rette—the baker, decorator, and creative heart behind Sweet Cheeks Cakery!

My love for baking began long before I ever dreamed of owning a cake business. As a kid, I spent countless hours in the kitchen with my mom, learning the joy of baking together. Every holiday season, our kitchen turned into a cookie factory as we baked dozens of different cookies for family and friends. I also grew up completely captivated by Ace of Cakes and Duff Goldman, where I discovered that cakes could be more than dessert—they could be edible works of art.

Sweet Cheeks Cakery actually has roots dating back to 2013, when my mom started it as a bakery focused on vegan and dietary-friendly treats. In 2025, I decided to breathe new life into the business after creating a cake for a Galentine’s celebration with my closest friends. That one cake reminded me just how much I loved decorating, creating, and seeing people light up over something made with care. I was hooked all over again.

I’m completely self-taught and have been baking for as long as I can remember. Every recipe I’ve perfected and every decorating technique I’ve learned has come from years of practice, curiosity, and a genuine passion for the craft.

Today, my goal is simple: to create desserts that are just as delicious as they are beautiful. Whether it’s an elegant wedding cake, a whimsical birthday design, or a box of sweet treats for a special occasion, I pour my creativity, attention to detail, and love into every order.
